I know we're two weeks into the season, but I wanted to bring people's attention to a few things and put a stake in the ground.
First, we're running the Third Annual TFG College Football Pick'em over at FunOfficePools.com. The instructions to sign up are at this Google doc. I'll try and keep the blog up-to-date about the standings so everyone knows how badly you're getting your butts kicked by a computer. Season sign-up deadline is today, but don't let that deter you.
Second, I'm going to put this in black-and-white right now: the TFG algorithm will score 779 points in the pick'em this year. Book it, done.
Third, as of today there are 609 games between two FBS teams in which the teams are known; i.e., games like conference championships and bowls will happen, but we don't know who's playing in them yet. But of those 609 games left in the season, TFG will go 459-150, for approximately a 75.5% winning percentage.
I'll keep revisiting these numbers as the season goes on, but I just wanted to make sure I got these numbers out there before too many more weeks went by.
